Wishing Well- Yea Wetlands Centre
Client: Yea Wetlands Centre
In 2014, Yea furniture maker Gary Male and I were offered a commission to produce an art piece for the newly- built Yea Wetlands Centre. The piece had to be designed as a means of collecting donations and I suggested that we make a wishing well. The idea was accepted and Gary prepared two beautiful River Red Gum burls to act as a base and surround for the Wishing Well. I then produced a clear fused glass bowl which sits on a laminated glass panel with an image of a pebbly stream bed. The Wishing Well is now displayed in the Centre and is fulfilling its’ role admirably.
