Profile

I consider myself to be a narrative artist. All my life I have used art to identify meaning in the things I have seen and done. This is not to say that I am indifferent to beauty in what I create, it is just that appearance should serve meaningfulness. I always hope that my visual statements connect to other people.

My art practice has always existed alongside a crowded and varied involvement in the community. Far from impeding my creativity, this involvement has provided the life stimuli and internal tensions which informs much of my work.
