Client: Myself and anyone else who is interested

I painted “Colonization Triptych” in 2006 as a way of drawing together the many thoughts I had about my life with the Warlpiri people and my impressions about their relationship with whitefellas. It was obvious to me that this relationship was putting a huge pressure for change on the lives of the Warlpiri. However , the painting is about the reciprocal of this, and that is the changes that long exposure to the Warlpiri worldview had wrought in me. These changes have made an unquestioning return to mainstream life impossible.
