Client: 2009 Exhibition at watch this space gallery in Alice Springs.

During April 2009, Watch This Space gallery in Alice Springs presented my exhibition “Playing God” , a collection of fused glass sculptural works which symbolize the destruction of nature by rampant global industrialism. The rich interplay between the handmade glass and light represents the energy and life force of the natural world. In each art piece this is confined within iconic industrial symbols such as cantilever frames, tanks, chimneys and building forms. The centrepieces of the exhibition were four large screens of glass representing the four elements of Empedocles- earth, fire, air and water. In each the glass is confined in an industrial environment contructed from lead, aluminium and steel.
